History Was Made at the 2019 C2HR Conference!

There were many noteworthy firsts, record-breaking achievements and special features that made this year’s annual conference a memorable experience for our members.

  1. For more than 15 years, this annual event was called CTHRA’s Symposium. Last month’s conference was the first under the new moniker of C2HR Conference.
  2. Our members showed out in force, breaking an attendance record with nearly 300 attendees.
  3. With 29 speakers and four breakout session blocks, the conference provided attendees with more learning options than ever before.
  4. For the first time, attendees could jump-start their learning with a pre-conference workshop which featured The Energy Project's scientifically grounded approach to avoid burnout and focus one's energy in the most productive and rewarding manner.
  5. Another first was moving the Welcome Reception off-site to the stunning Comcast Technology Center
  6. The inaugural Social Impact Award was presented to Charter Communications. Read about their award-winning initiative on safe and healthy homes.
  7. Instead of a single keynote speaker, the opening general session featured the dynamic duo of Lisa Sun of Gravitas and Trend Hunter’s Jaime Neeley.
  8. Roxanna Flores of Univision earned the social media prize of the day for her series of Tweets about the sessions she attended.
  9. Music took center stage with C2HR Conference Co-chairs Seth Feit of Charter Communications and Scott Porter of Warner Media opening the event with music from Rocky and C2HR President Tom Tooker of A&E Networks singing New York, New York to announce the location of the 2020 C2HR Conference.
  10. The Cable Center, Charter Communications and Comcast were introduced as the pioneering C2HR Champions, a status reserved for companies providing the highest level of support of educational opportunities for our industry’s human resources professionals.
