A Tribute
to Wrisë Booker
|
In the early days of C2HR’s
existence, when our association was known as CTHRA,
Wrisë Booker served as the
managing partner. It is with great sadness that
we mourn her recent passing. Known as the “mentor
to leaders,” her legacy lives on in the hearts
of all who knew her. Kathy Johnson,
COO of Digital Diversity Network,
was kind enough to share these words, “A conversation
with Wrisë was rarely brief or without an aha
moment. She was a nurturer by nature and genuinely
interested in peeling back the layers to see how
you were doing. Her presence and inimitable
style notwithstanding, I shall always remember Wrisë
for her sense of calm; her unflinching optimism;
and her love for Christmastime, the color purple,
and her poodles. The world is certainly less
classy without her.”
